DAY 1 - WELCOME TO CUBA

June 6, 2019

Transfer from Airport to Casa Particular As you exit baggage claim area Jose Marti International Airport, meet your guide and begin your adventure. Your driver will take you to your Casa Particular and your guide will assist you with your check-in and currency exchange. Casa Particular (Check-In) Your driver will take you to your casa particular where your professional guide will assist you with your check-in and currency exchange. Welcome Dinner at HM7 HM7 is one of the most modern and unique paladars in Havana. Enjoy a mojito or glass of wine as you watch the chefs prepare your meal through the giant glass with a view of the kitchen! The dishes are photo-worthy and the food is the best quality in Havana. Optional Nightlife Activities Your guide and professional trip leaders will give you suggestions for the best nightlife activities. Such as casa de la musica, for a live salsa show or El Gato Tuerto, Havana's most famous jazz club.

DAY 2 - OLD HAVANA

June 7, 2019

Typical Cuban Breakfast Enjoy a breakfast hosted at your casa particular. Old Havana Photo Tour Enjoy a professionally guided tour of the major plazas of Old Havana. Your guide will brief you on the history and significance of each plaza and provide you with plenty of time at to explore and capture breathtaking shots of the old city. Lunch at Doña Eutimia Enjoy an incredible lunch at the Doña Eutimia paladar in the Habana Vieja neighborhood. This family run restaurant is known for it's incredible Ropa Vieja and prime location in an alley right next to the Cathedral Plaza Travel to Regla by Ferry In the afternoon, you will travel by ferry across the bay of Havana to the small town of Regla. This is the perfect location for intimate portraits and street photography. Evening Photos on the Malecón Havana's malecón is a great place to capture incredible photos of vintage cars and incredible sunsets. Before dinner, take some time for photographing the seawall area, also known as the "biggest couch in the world". Dinner at Paladar El Laurel Enjoy an amazing waterfront dinner at Paladar El Laurel located next to Havana's main marina facility. Live Music on the Malecón Enjoy an intimate performance of classic Cuban music by local musicians on the malecón. We will supply plenty of rum!

DAY 3 - EL VEDADO

June 8, 2019

Typical Cuban Breakfast Enjoy a breakfast hosted at your casa particular Photo Tour of Vedado Tour the modern downtown of Havana, Vedado. Learn the history of the tallest buildings, many of which were built between 1956 and 1959, by the Italian Mafia as a way to launder gambling money from Havana's casinos prior to the revolution. Finca Vigia Finca Vigia is the former Cuban home and estate of Ernest Hemingway. It was donated to the Cuban government after Hemingway's death in 1961 and serves as a museum to commemorate the Nobel Prize-winning author. It is designated as a UNESCO site and is in the same condition as 1961 when Hemingway left Cuba on his final voyage back to the US. Lunch at Ajiaco A paladar located in the coastal fishing village of Cojimar, where Hemingway used to keep his boat, ‘Pilar’. El Morro Visit El Morro, Havana’s primary fortress which was inaugurated by the Spanish in 1589 to protect the Bay of Havana in response to raids by pirates and foreign armies. Visit Hotel Nacional de Cuba Dinner at La Habanera Enjoy a fantastic lunch at this highly rated paladar with a diverse menu and beautiful decor. DAY 4 - CENTRO HABANA & SANTERIA

June 9, 2019

Typical Cuban Breakfast Enjoy a breakfast hosted at your casa particular. Centro Havana Photo Tour On Sunday morning, you will walk through the streets of the Central Havana neighborhood. This is an excellent opportunity for candid shots and street scene photos. Lunch at La Guarida La Guarida is a private restaurant located in the same building that was used as the set for the Oscar nominated film Fresa y Chocolate. This is the most popular paladar in all of Havana and well worth a visit. Callejon de Hamel Tour the eclectic neighborhood of Callejon de Hamel, where the Santeria rumba and other religious rituals are practiced each week. Dinner at El Del Frente Enjoy an incredible meal at El del Frente, one of Old Havana's best rooftop restaurants/bars. The food is prepared with the freshest garnishes and the creatively presented drinks are arguably the tastiest in Havana. Fabrica de Arte Cubano Fabrica de Arte Cubano is located in a re-purposed oil factory that incorporates art galleries, bars. performance spaces and much more. This is must-see nightlife experience in Havana!

DAY 5 - ADIOS CUBA

June 10, 2019

Typical Cuban Breakfast Enjoy a breakfast hosted at your casa particular. Casa Check-Out Check out of your casa particular and prepare to say "hasta luego" to Cuba. Plaza de La Revolución Visit the Plaza de La Revolución - This public square is used for large speaking events, concerts and has been the site of Catholic masses conducted by Pope John Paul II in 1998 and more recently by Pope Francis in 2015. Surrounding the plaza there are large sculptures commemorating the lives and revolutionary spirits of José Martí, Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos. Fusterlandia Visit the small fishing village of Jaimanitas and visit of the home of artist Jose Fuster. Since the early 1990's Fuster has transformed his entire village into a giant mosaic village. You must see this Dr. Seuss like fantasy world is a must see. Suggested Lunch at Santy Pescador (In cases of late departure only) Santy's is a sushi restaurant located in Jaimanitas on the Western outskirts of Havana just shy of Marina Hemingway. Transfer to Airport Head to the airport to catch your flight back home. Have a safe trip!
